Important Note: Before the movie, there is a pre-movie music show which gets started at 7PM.
The best part is that it is for free!
What makes this festival such a BIG attraction is the fact that the entry to the theatre is FREE! Yes, you read correctly – there is no entry fee. You can bring in your choice of comfortable furniture; from bean bags to low back chairs, cushions or whatever by which you choose to watch the movie comfortably.
In short, you can turn the park into your living room!
A great attraction at the event comes in the form of ‘The Best Seat in The Square’ competition, which is hosted by IKEA. The winner of the competition gets premiere movie tickets, along with some awesome treats to enjoy during the movie.
A bit about the history of Pioneer Courthouse Square
Pioneer Courthouse Square is located in Downtown Portland. A popular urban park, which is so often referred to as the City’s living room, Pioneer Courthouse Square has become the heart for many of the major events in the city. The park is now run by a non-profit organization that was created prior to the opening of this park in the year 1984, in partnership with the City of Portland. The NGO has been organizing events like this solely with the intention of working towards bringing the community together.
Are you ready?
So, grab your most comfortable furniture, tell your entire family to come along, and then have an amazing time by being part of this ‘Flicks on Bricks’ endeavor brought forward by the Pioneer Courthouse Square!
