They say every empty bottle is filled with stories. And, one thing is for sure, when you are in Oregon you will never run out of both – the stories or the bottles of wine! Speaking of which, Arcane Cellars is a fantastic winery to visit if you ever want to try something delicious while taking in some fresh air!

A little bit about Arcane Cellars

The seed for the winery was sown in the year 2000 when the first vineyard was planted. However, it was not until 2004 that a license was granted, and finally in the year 2007 the winery was opened to public. A family run winery that is comprised of Jeff & Sharon Silva who started the dream, is today handled equally responsibly by their son, Jason and his wife, Sonja. Over the years it has gone on to evolve from being just a mushrooming winery to today leading the charge with one of the biggest varieties of wine in the entire Willamette Valley.

Arcane Cellars

Breath-taking views welcome you at the cellar

Located nearby Eola Hills alongside Willamette River, the winery presents some breath-taking views. You can even enjoy additional activities like kayaking and canoeing at the Arcane Cellars as well. What makes Arcane Cellars significant is the fact that it is officially the first business to be part of the Willamette River Water Trail.

A private arboretum, the historic Wheatland Ferry, and some of the most beautiful views alongside the Willamette River – there’s so much that the Arcane Cellars have to offer for you!

And don’t forget to taste the wine!

When you are in the cellar, how can you forget about the most important activity – wine tasting! With more than 23 varieties of wines available to taste, you can be certain to find the one variety that can entice your taste buds for sure. And guess what? Many of them are award-winning wines!

There is a nominal fee of $10 per person for a tasting, which is a small price to pay considering the large number of options in wines that these experts have to offer. And, in case you are a club member or happen to be a guest of a club member, you can enjoy the tastings for free! You can come to Arcane Cellar for wine tastings at any time of the year, and tastings are carried out at the winery between 12 Noon – 4 PM.

There’s a lot more too!

If you thought that wine tasting was the only thing that makes Arcane Cellars special, then think again. There are plenty of events hosted and carried out at Arcane Cellars throughout the year. You can check out their website to stay updated on future events.

If you are a wine lover, this can prove to be the perfect weekend getaway for you. Even if you are not a lover of wine, Arcane Cellars and the area around it, is an amazing place to visit and enjoy.
